TAX INFORMATION

The Tax Information Fields consist of the number of tax rates, the tax rates themselves, and an indicator as to whether delivery should be taxed. To edit any of these items:

Choose "Tax Information" from the Main Edit Menu

Your accountant can tell you whether you need to use different rates when selling into different sales tax jurisdictions. There must be at least one rate. Zero-tax is automatically included; no such entry is needed. (If there is no sales tax in your state, enter zero as the rate).

After you have chosen the number of tax rates, you can set the actual tax rates by choosing the "Edit tax rates" information field.

Specifying Tax on Delivery

HOPE will automatically tax delivery if you instruct it to do so. To do this:

Choose "Tax on delivery"

Enter "Y" if you wish delivery to be taxed. Enter "N" otherwise.
