Quoting and Room Planning

All activities which can be done in custom ordering and selling can also be prepared for the customer in the form of a price quote.

Quotes may be saved and recalled for use as orders. Of course, the order may be edited if any changes have been made.

To make up a quote, choose Q or Arrow to Quote and press Enter from the Sales Menu. The normal order screen will appear, but with the legend Quote at the left side of the topmost line. Continue just as if you were making up an order with all pricing and freeform text entry permitted.

On completion you can print and reprint as needed. The quote will be saved under the same lookup options; name, phone number, date and quote number.

To recall the quote, choose (C) Completed Sale from the Sales Menu and All Funds Received from the Method of Shipment Sub-Menu. An invoice for the sale will be prepared. The quote number will become the order number.

Another way to develop a quote is to lay out the elements of the quote in a diagram, layout or room plan. Instructions for room planning may be displayed by pressing R or 9) on the Sales Menu, followed by F1 or H to display help.
