The Transaction File contains all journal records of transactions entered during the month. In addition to using the Expense Entry Menu, you may enter transactions manually, edit them and delete them as you wish. When you enter transactions in this way, they are entered directly into the Transaction File.
While some stores prefer to wait until the end of the month to enter their transactions, others prefer to enter their expenses during the month, as they are incurred. HOPE allows you to use either of these methods. No matter which way you choose, expenses and other transactions must be accounted for by making entries. Entries may be made at any time during the month and may be done all at once or a few at a time.
